Went to check out
UCSB with my husband and 19 year old daughter. We wanted to do some fun stuff for us too so after a great dinner at the Hitching Post down the street we took our daughter to the Indian Casino and I gave her 20 and had a lot of fun (I won $300 on nickels)! Next day went to a local market, got some picnic stuff and had a picnic at Sanford Winery and headed for home. Looking forward to many return trips if she ends up going to school there. ...read more

Family with Young Children
The hotel is actually quite nice. Convenient to Solvang and the surrounding communities. We did have a problem with the maid service. Had to ask for the service to be done after having all day to do it, then we were shorted on standard supplies and again had to ask for them. When slow to handle the situation, I spoke to the duty manager. He was very apologetic and professional. The situation was handled immediately. I believe that the management was sincere in their statement that the experience that we had was a rarity. We had a great stay. We did leave a valuable item in our room upon checkout. We called the next morning and the staff did not find it. it appears that one of the maids did not turn it in.
